Kate Middleton style: Kate wearing a ruffled dress River Island’s £20 sale frock?

Kate Middleton has had a first-rate summer
wardrobe. Cast your mind back to June, when the wife of Prince William attended a photography
workshop with her patronage Action for Children, run by the Royal Photographic Society. As always, her outfit was on point. Kate Middleton
rocked a beautiful ruffle dress that featured a striking paisley print by Ridley London. Although Kate does enjoy the high street from
time-to-time, this frock set her back £449. Yikes! Don’t worry though, River Island have
a fabulous look-alike that costs just £20 in the brand’s summer sale. It has a similar print and even has ruffles
on the hem. Be quick though; there’s only few sizes left. The mother-of-four always knows how to accessorise
and added a pair of wedge espadrilles with the outfit, and of course, wore her hair loose
and flowing (no doubt a result of one of her famous blow-dries. Speaking of Kate’s hair – we last saw the
royal at the King’s Cup sailing regatta and it looked as if she had had a hair makeover! Gone was the epic, coiffed curls, replaced
with funky beachy waves, and she appeared to have had a dose of blonde highlights. Was it the result of her summer holiday to
Mustique, or a glam salon appointment? Who knows. When Kate famously had a fringe cut in back
in 2015, the hairdresser behind the chop was Richard Ward – and he also has preened Kate’s
hair many times in the past, giving her that fabulous Chelsea blow-dry we all know and
love. The Duchess of Cambridge was pictured sharing
her photography tips with students at a workshop run by her patronage in south-west London. And to mark World Photography Day today, the
Kensington Palace Instagram account unveiled the work of 9-year-old Josh Evans’ work, after
he was pictured taking tips from Kate at the event. Taking to their account, which boasts almost
10 million followers, the royals shared a post showing Kate, 37, posing with Josh and
their cameras, earlier in the summer. A slide show includes his most recent work,
a picture of a leaf, a daisy and a lizard, along with a lengthy caption praising the
youngster’s photos. Sharing a message with the post, Kensington
Palace wrote: ‘Today is World Photography Day when we celebrate the art, craft, science
and history of photography. ‘Photography can provide a universal language
for anyone to express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings. They added: ‘The Duchess has a longstanding
interest in photography, and her patronage will further highlight the beneficial impact
that art and creativity can have on emotional wellbeing, particularly for children and young
people.’ Kate Middleton, who is a keen amateur photographer,
has succeeded the Queen as the figurehead of the body, which was officially supported
by the monarch for 67 years. The workshop was run by the Royal Photographic
Society and Action for Children – another of Kate’s patronages – at Warren Park Children’s
Centre in Kingston upon Thames, south-west London. She joined young people from Action for Children
– which supports disadvantaged youngsters from across the UK – in several sessions,
run with Royal Photographic Society honorary fellows Jillian Edelstein and Harry Borden. During the workshops, the enthusiastic students
learned about various elements of photography such as portraits, light and colour. Alongside developing new skills, the workshop
is intended to highlight how photography provides a universal language for young people to express
themselves and release their thoughts and feelings. Kate has been widely praised for her photographic
portraits of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
